Being born in Alaska I spent my younger days playing in the snow, learning how to ski almost before I could walk. Since then I have been pushing the limits of everything I do. As I grew older I gave up building snow castles for more exhilarating activities such as snowmobiling, and eventually came over from the darkside and started experimenting with snowboarding.

Right when I was starting to enjoy myself my parents decided that they were tired of the cold weather so we moved to Hawaii, where at the age of seven I helped build a house on the beach. Hawaii was a juristic change for

me and at first I was pessimistic but I soon adapted to the surroundings with much enthusiasm. During the next couple of years I developed a love for the water, becoming very familiar with sunburn.

Swimming, spear fishing, and snorkeling were my favorite pastimes, until one day while I was beachcombing for precious shells I found a super nice bodyboard that had washed up on shore. I had always been fascinated with the surfers on the North Shore but I was too young and small for those monster waves, so my new bodyboard was the perfect alternative.

After that day I spent more time at the beach than I did at my house, bodyboarding was the gateway to my addiction of many other boardsports. My parents being very indecisive decided we now needed a change from the hot weather and spam so my family moved to the middle of those climate extremes onto Whidbey Island. I soon stumbled across skimboarding which brought together my love for board sports and the beach harmoniously.
